Colleagues: I'm seeing remarkable interest in interim leadership of nonprofits. Wondering whether others are seeing the same or whether my experience is coincidental.
Here's what I've seen:
1) A new interim opportunity about 2x/week. They come through DC's young but flourishing Interim Executives Network (impressively coordinated by an Interim, Barbra Kavanaugh, btw) and more informally through my professional network.
2) Someone wanting to discuss entering the field about 1x/week. These seem to be more from positions of strength than in the past (e.g. not people looking for work & hoping to fill a gap, but successful people looking at encore careers).
3) Several (4 or 5) firms that broker consultants and interims into for-profit corporations expressing interest moving into the nonprofit arena. Some were actively recruiting and some were just exploring.
Eager to know what others are seeing.
